The ban on account verification is now open

t’s unknown! for example! how it will prevent Super account verification Follow from degenerating into a new OnlyFans with pornographic content (now that there are already OnlyFans users promoting their porn on Twitter! and the network doesn’t seem to be making much of an effort to curb this type of content). It’s also unknown when it will be launched ! or how subscriptions will be managed! or whether followers who subscribe will receive some kind of badge.

Little of nothing! in short.

But there are the Super Follows! on the starting line.

That seems to be deduced from a account verification tweet that social media consultant Matt Navara country email list launched a few days ago ! in which he showed screenshots of what could be Twitter’s new company profiles! with different functions than those of personal profiles .

Twitter is! in fact! the only major social network that doesn’t offer a specific format clean email for brands! businesses! or creators: Facebook has company pages! Instagram and TikTok have business and creator profiles! WhatsApp has implemented WhatsApp Business! LinkedIn has its company pages…

Until now.

Apparently! Twitter is preparing business profiles! which! unlike personal ireland: a destination of choice for 2016 profiles! would include an e-commerce link! an address or phone number button! a shop with product previews for purchase ! an image gallery! and customer reviews! among other tools. Some brands have received a survey asking them which features they would value most.

For now! not much else is known… but stay tuned…

This has been announced by Twitter itself! which has announced that in 2021 it will enable (again) a procedure for account verification .

The company hasn’t specified when or how the system will be launched! but for now they’re already behind schedule: when they announced it in November 2020! they said it would launch “in early 2021″… and still! nothing.

However! it has made progress in updating its account verification policy . It now includes six categories of potentially verifiable accounts : government accounts! businesses! brands and organizations! news accounts! entertainment accounts! sports accounts! and accounts of activists! organizers! and other influencers.

Additionally! at the beginning of the year! the blue badge was removed account verification from accounts that did not meet the new requirements : all those that had been inactive for six months or lacked a descriptive bio! for example! lost their verification.

The possibility of automating the verification process has raised quite a few expectations! probably due to the controversy raised on previous occasions: fake accounts being verified without any checks! inflated egos after achieving the blue badge…

Will Twitter succeed in enabling a transparent and fair verification system?
