Last Friday, six young finalists competed for The Voice Kids title on RTL4. The fluctuations in the race for the title were not shown during the TV program, but were measurable via Twitter. Research by TNO in collaboration with the Erasmus University Rotterdam, exposes the tension of the final battle. The winner, Fabiënne, only passed her rivals in the last minutes.

Research into the dynamics of online mass opinions

There is a lack of fact-based research on the role of the internet and social media in society. In order to analyze the dynamics of online mass opinions, we need to look for measurable situations.
